Riesling

From clay and limestone soil vineyards on the steep slopes leading down from Husseren-les-Chateaux, some of which fall into the Eichberg Grand Cru. The elevation here is up to 400m, making it one of the highest vineyard sites in Alsace, which imparts a great sense of freshness on the wines.

The grapes were gently macerated for 3 days before being pressed into old barriques where the wine rested for 9 months. Wonderfully textural, detailed and saline — this benefits from a decant as it shows a little reduction on opening.
